Panda’s little feet started hurting from all the walking. And Red Scarf Thing fell off from his neck again! The journey just wasn’t going well and part of Panda wanted to just stop and give up. Luckily, Panda’s friend Panda (the car) showed up to cheer him up and took him in for a ride. Panda figured he could get a lot further this way, in a lot shorter time. He even got introduced to car Panda’s toy panda! It was surreal.

A week has passed, and Panda is still a long ways away from Hawaii. While his walk so far has been a smooth one, Red Scarf pointed out a short cut which turned out to be gravel-filled and rather difficult to pass through. Nevertheless, Panda bit the bullet and soldiered on.

While Panda continued on his way, he looked around to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the neighborhood in which he was conceived. It was a pretty fantastic day to be walking. He looked forward to the road ahead…

The walk has taken Panda days, now. But he has finally made it to the outside, just a few houses down from where he first set off.

Panda had a tough decision at one point, while he tried to figure out whether to take a left or a right. Inevitably, Red Scarf had to “step in” during his thought process to advise him that either way would work, that he just had to make sure he kept walking otherwise it would be centuries before they’d ever make it to Hawaii.

So to the right, he went…

Hawaii bound, Panda decided to walk on his own. Not knowing how long it might take for his little feet to get there, he temporarily reattached Red Scarf Thing to his neck to be his navigator. With that, the journey had begun.
